montana ranch
This is a painting I did while in Montana. I painted outdoors with artists I met and had a great timed. It's so fun to have a painting as a reminder of a special time.

First Love
This is a little girl that reminded me of how that "First Love" is so wonderful and comforting.
I started this painting in Montana while we escaped the heat and finished back in my studio.Still doing kids. Just can't help it.

A Little Grin 3"x3"
Now, this little girl knows how to grin! I was grinning the whole time I was painting. This one is a smaller size than my first, and presented a different challenge. One wrong brush stroke and I could, and did, wipe out an entire feature. Hope you enjoy this little one as much as I did painting her. So what is it about kids?

drawing
Most Mondays I spend drawing from a model. Today was this wonderful man who is a photographer and has a face of great interest. Drawing is a good way of strengthening my painting skills. I try not to pass up an opportunity to work from life. Not only that, but I really enjoy the other artists that join me in this endeavor. Lots of fun and coffee!

New beginnings
Today I began a series of miniature paintings. They will be children's faces painted, size 6"x6". You can view the collection as it develops above. I have always been fascinated with the power of a child's expression. I believe this connection is because we have all been children and still have that special uniqueness inside of us. Yes, I was a therapist, and I still adore the "child within"...
